Understand the value of the water-cooler conversation. The lunch room is often perceived as a place where gossip is exchanged and rumors are started. However, this informal communication allows employees to get to know each other on a personal level. Allow trust and the open flow of ideas among teams to occur so relationships are formed.
In order to consider facilitate maximum communication, you will need to consider various types of communication necessary for different teams to work together. Do you need an instant messaging system to help team members share information in fast-paced situations? Allow different departments to share information gathered from customers.
